Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

We collect information you choose to give us through our forms, plus a small amount of information automatically when you browse the site.

Information you submit

• Contact form (/contact-us/): full name, email address, phone number, company name, project budget range, and your message.
• Hire Developers form (/hire-developers/): full name, email address, phone number, company name, service you're interested in, budget range, and your message.
• Career applications: full name, email address, address, resume/CV file, and your message, submitted against a specific job opening.
• Newsletter / subscription: your email address, if you subscribe to updates.

Information collected automatically

• IP address and approximate location, browser type and version, device type, and pages visited, collected via Google Tag Manager and any analytics tags it loads, only once you accept non-essential cookies.
• A first-party consent record (the zi_consent cookie and a matching server-side log entry) noting your cookie choice, regardless of what you choose.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information above: encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted access to stored submissions and resumes, and CSRF protection on every form.

2. Why we collect it

• Responding to inquiries: to reply to contact form, Hire Developers, and career submissions, and to reach you about your request.
• Project scoping: budget, service, and project details help our team prepare an accurate proposal before we talk.
• Service improvement: aggregated, consented analytics (page views, traffic sources) help us understand what visitors find useful and fix what doesn't work.
• Legal and security purposes: keeping a record of consent decisions, and preventing spam/abuse of our forms (reCAPTCHA).

Where applicable, our legal basis for this processing is: your consent (for non-essential cookies, and for optional information you choose to submit); contractual necessity (taking steps you request before entering into a project, such as scoping and quoting); and our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website and responding to inquiries sent to us.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use as few as possible, split into two categories that you control through the cookie banner or the Cookie settings link in our footer:

• Necessary: always on, cannot be disabled. Needed for the site and your cookie preference itself to work.
• Non-essential: analytics and advertising/tracking tags bundled behind a single opt-in toggle. Nothing in this category loads until you accept.

Google Tag Manager (GTM) itself sets no cookies; it is a container script loaded from Google's infrastructure but triggered from our page. It stays completely blocked from loading until you accept the non-essential category.

4. Third-party sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site and respond to you:

• Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics: website traffic measurement, only if you accept non-essential cookies.
• Email delivery (Gmail SMTP / Brevo): used to send us your form submissions and to send you a reply.
• Google reCAPTCHA: spam and abuse protection on our forms.
• Tawk.to: our live chat widget, if you choose to start a chat.
• Calendly: if you book a meeting through our "Book a Meeting" widget.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policy; we only pass them the minimum information needed for the purpose above. Some of them may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for that transfer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

5. Data retention

• Contact form and Hire Developers submissions are kept for up to 24 months from submission by default, so we can follow up on active conversations. If you ask us to delete your data sooner (including by withdrawing consent), we'll do so promptly rather than waiting out the 24 months.
• Career applications, including resumes, are kept for up to 12 months after the associated role closes, unless you ask us to remove yours sooner.
• Consent logs (your cookie decisions) are kept for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance, generally up to 5 years.
• We delete or anonymize data sooner where we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep it.

6. User rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data from our systems (a "right to erasure" request).
• Withdraw any consent you previously gave, including cookie consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, if you believe we've mishandled your data.

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone in that age group.

7. Your choices on cookies

You decide which cookies to allow. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page (including this one) to reopen your preferences and change your choice at any time; you don't need to clear your browser or contact us.
